18 Piece Porcelain Limoges Style Tea Service in Cobalt Blue and Gold

Description

An elegant 18 piece French Limoges style porcelain tea service comprising six cups, six saucers and six accompanying plates. Rich cobalt blue grounds contrast with luminous white porcelain, while broad gold colored bands, delicate foliate ornament and patterned rims give the ensemble a sumptuous finish.

This service recalls the refined tablewares associated with that celebrated porcelain producing region. Limoges refers to a historic French center of manufacture encompassing numerous factories and decorating workshops, rather than a single maker.

The restrained cup shapes balance the richness of the decoration, making this an especially attractive service for a formal cabinet or beautifully arranged tea table within our fine china and porcelain collection. A thoughtful addition to a home where hospitality and decorative detail are equally appreciated.
