Joan Miró, Characters in the Night, Original Color Plate in Custom Frame

Description

An imaginative original color plate featuring a gathering of fantastical characters, celestial symbols and playful abstract forms. A warm terracotta and russet ground supports an animated arrangement of black and ivory shapes, punctuated by brilliant red, blue and muted green. Fine connecting lines, star forms and unexpected curves suggest a mysterious nocturnal world.

The composition invites discovery rather than offering a single literal story. Figures seem to hover between human, animal and invented creature, capturing the freedom and visual poetry that make Miró’s work so distinctive.

Presented in a custom silver and champagne toned frame with broad dark matting and a warm contrasting inner border. A handsome piece for a living room, library or contemporary interior.
