Stunning Mother of Pearl and Bone Inlaid Chest on Stand

Description

An extraordinary decorative chest on stand, richly embellished with mother of pearl and bone inlay in an intricate geometric arrangement.

Starbursts, interlocking polygons, checkerboard bands and fine contrasting borders cover the faceted exterior. The luminous inlay catches the light against the darker wood, while turned wooden lattice panels introduce texture and architectural interest.

The shaped lid opens to reveal a vivid red lined compartment. A drop front panel conceals four small drawers, creating an appealing combination of hidden storage and elaborate surface decoration.

The geometric ornament and turned latticework showcase the artistry of a finely inlaid chest, where luminous mother of pearl and bone marquetry are paired with turned wooden lattice panels.

The matching stand continues the detailed decoration, with shaped arches and turned feet completing the distinctive silhouette.

A remarkable accent piece for an entrance, library, bedroom or collected interior, equally compelling displayed closed or opened to reveal its compartments.
