Old World Cabinet with Antique Doors and Pale Blue Patina

Description

A striking Old World antique door cabinet, custom made to showcase a pair of very old antique doors repurposed into a functional cabinet. The doors retain beautiful remnants of pale blue paint, worn over time to reveal layers of rich brown beneath. The result is a distinctive aged patina, full of texture and character.

Horizontal metal bands, traditional ring pulls and the weathered surfaces of the doors contrast beautifully with the warm wood of the surrounding cabinet. Behind the doors, a spacious interior offers shelves and compartments for practical storage.

Architectural Heritage & Repurposed Antique Doors

Antique architectural doors were often made with substantial timber and metal fittings to withstand years of use. By incorporating these historic antique doors into a custom built cabinet, their character can be appreciated every day while giving them a useful new purpose within our Old World and antique cabinets collection in Rancho Santa Fe.

This is a large, heavy piece with a commanding presence, ideally suited to a living room, library, dining room or spacious entrance hall.
